ASKING QUESTIONS
When our children were growing
they all wanted to know why?
Where? When? What? Who
and how? It was their constant cry,
Why is the sky blue? Why don’t
the cute penguins go and fly?
You try and answer those you know
others we look for or at least try.
Where do babies come from?
Where do bugs go when it snows?
Where shall I find my runners?
Where are my eyes when I
go to sleep or doze?
When will I be the same age as you?
When will I be all grown and big?
When will I fall in love? When will pigs fly?
When will I be ready to drive a rig?
What are we having for dinner?
What will I grow up to be?
What shall I wear to the dance?
Mom! What will he say to me?
Who will I marry, will he be nice,
Who makes the world go round that way?
Who turns the light on in the fridge?
Who invented night and day?
How come planes don’t fall out of the sky?
How is it the flowers smell so sweet,
How will my brain remember all these things?
How will I know when I spouse I’ll meet?
We parents should answer the best we can
tell then if you don’t know,
Then in joy through questions all the
family in sweet love will grow.
