NEEDING A HOLIDAY
There comes a time every now and then
That the body and mind need a little break,
Need a holiday, dont mind where, but when
Is now, just walk away for sanitys sake.
Walk through the mountains, lots of fresh air,
Canoeing on white water, or just sit in the sun,
Sail on a large cruise ship or visit a country fair,
As long as its different from normal things done.
I want to fight the sea, and win, with a garden spade,
Hear the call of the sea gulls as loud as can be,
Id like to go to the top of a cliff, sit in the shade
As I watch for ships coming home from the sea.
Some just like to sit in the sun and read a good book,
Some find outlandish places that are far away,
Or roam around the neighborhood and take a look
For things to do, a cheap near to home holiday.
Whatever we choose, its the change thats the rest,
Enjoy your holiday the very best way for you,
Youll be invigorated and return back one day,
To work that much better the long day through.
