BEDTIME TREAT
A cup of hot chocolate and a cookie or two
Before going to bed I’m sure is good for you,
Although my diet list doesn’t mention this treat
When going to sleep you need something to eat.

Milky hot chocolate, if you have been good all day
Is a treat that you may have deserved in some way,
With cookies with no cholesterol which are fine,
That’s not too bad on which to take a quick dine.

Then soak in the tub to sooth all the troubles away,
And have lots of smelly bubbles to finish the day
And curl up and snuggle, a warm, clean cozy bed,
With a nice soft pillow to cushion your weary head.

Then when sleep comes be truly blessed indeed
By pleasant dreams that can your sad soul feed,
A prayer of thanks given to our great God of love,
To thank Him for the blessing that come from above.
