SOMEWHERE TO GO
When it’s cold and miserable,
and you want somewhere to go,
In the big city there are lots of malls
to walk around or go to see a show,
The place is alive until late at night,
always everywhere so alive,
Not having most stores all locked
and barred by just after five.
When it’s too cold to go for a walk
or run and have lots of fun,
Where do you go in a small town
when again the cold weather’s won?
Walk round the arenas if there’s no
game today
It’s much too cold in this wind
to go out and play.
We don’t watch television and
friends are out of town
Oh for a nice mall to walk around
to wipe away my frown.
