A RAY OF SUNSHINE
A little ray of sunshine crept across the dusty room,
Nothing stirred the air as the ray passed right through,
It seemed to awake memories, that had faded too soon,
The tattered curtains wanted to be clean and like new.
The honeysuckle around the house wanted to be cared for,
Longed to be pruned back so more flowers could grow.
That little ray of sunshine awoke the house once more,
The need to be tended and someone care and love show.
The dirty, dusty little house looked as sad as could be,
A handy -mans special, was what the ad had said,
Something touched their hearts, they too were lonely,
Its cheap, better than rent, a thought came to each head.
A lonely couple, new in town, a lonely house met a need,
Even tattered curtains washed, made a quite pretty show
At the sparkling clean windows so bright they both agreed,
It seemed the little ray of sunshine, gave a special glow.
Now the garden is well tended, home shiny and bright,
No longer lonely and dusty but vibrant and full of life
A little ray of sunshine maybe when it shone its light,
Blessed the house unknowingly freed it from strife.
We never know as we through this life we all go,
If we may be a ray of sunshine giving hope and love,
So never be afraid to let ray of sunshine freely show,
And you maybe furnishing your loving home above.
