ANIMALS AND MUSIC
Many songs and symphonies about beasts fill the air
Take the music Peter and the Wolf, with big bear
And other creatures as they move and prance around
A lovely story told in words and pleasant music sound.
The trout, I love to listen to you can hear the water there,
As the trout are swimming without a single worry or care,
You can imagine them jumping up to catch a juicy fly
Hear them scurrying up stream to lay their eggs then die.
Music is wonderful, listen to the pastoral symphony,
You can listen to the birds sing and a storms agony
Then when is all peaceful and the sheep go home,
You can hear the cuckoo, call as if he were all alone.
But what about duck quartette, that would be rather funny,
I think you would have to pay a composer a lot of money,
Yet tympani can make all sorts of most peculiar sounds
From the quacking of a duck, to the howl of the hounds.
What about a giraffe polka, or a hippopotamus lullaby,
I dont think these animals would bring a tear to your eye.
If Hyden had thought of it, he would have given it a try,
Maybe in the future, a composer will write some before I die.
