SLEEPING IN A COMFY BED
When we were on our mission the bed was not the best,
And I found it quite difficult to get a good nights rest,
Brian didnt seem to feel them sticking up everywhere
Big hard metal springs sticking into me here and there.
It was also very bouncy, for if one of us got into bed
The other would bounce on the dresser, bump your head,
They would seem to appear in the middle of the night
Causing your tired body to be in an terrible sore plight.
The body just got used to them, when it was time to arise,
For total true discomfort that bed I gave the first prize,
Not once that we were away did I sleep the night through,
I often wondered if my body had bruises of black and blue.
Now we are home, and not one sticking up spring is found,
And I climb in bed without Brian falling on the ground,
I close my eyes and then I sleep far into the restful night,
Even the frequented bathroom becomes an unfamiliar sight.
A comfy bed is a good sign of being back safe at home,
Yet if the Lord were to call me, once again we would roam,
Id even leave my comfy bed but would pray with all my might
That the bed wouldnt have stick up springs all through the night.
