TOO BUSY TO GET OLD
Years passing to us does not bring old age,
Each year turns another adventure page
Of life, getting old is just a state of mind,
We never want to leave our youth behind.
When there are many things to be done,
When there are many battles to be won,
Old age gets in the way, don’t you see,
That why of being old we will be free.
We are too busy to get old don’t you know,
Striving hard as on a heavenward path we go,
Body and mind ever active and at some work,
For through our whole life we should never shirk.
Each heart and mind should stay forever young,
Just like those above in God’s heavenly throng,g
A promise made many years ago to wear right out,
Better than rusting away, that’s not what life’s about.
