OPTIMISM
It is always good to look on the bright side,
Be cheerful and so your fears help to hide,
An optimistic person is good to have around,
Much better than a pessimist I’ll be bound.

However bad the day there’s good hidden there,
The optimist will find it and will with you share,
They see kindness in all, good and bad the same,
Maybe through their eyes find some hidden pain.

I try to be optimistic, be a Pollyanna every day,
For life is so much better if looked at that way,
When you seek the brightest and best all the time,
Even if very poor, cheer up when you find a dime.

Life seems that much better and more worth living
When on a bad day find that bright silver lining,
Even in the darkest sky there is a glimmer of light,
If not, that optimist will seek it with all their might.

I’m glad I’m an optimist, try to be cheerful and bright,
See the world through rose coloured glasses of light,
People must think we optimists may be a little odd,
But I think that the optimists are approved by God.
