LIFE SHOULD BE FUN
We all know in life many things have to be done,
But there is no rule that says that it cannot be fun,
Cooking, cleaning and tidying should not be a bore,
Put on music you like as you sweep a messy floor.
Life is not rigid nor are there set patterns of time to take,
It’s good to drop something you are doing and just make
A visit to a friend or loved one you’ve not seen in awhile,
After that you can attack that task with a big happy smile.
Don’t make work or tasks the enemy in your short life,
This fun lacking attitude can bring you pain and strife,
Never put off a kindly need or be too busy to really care,
For one day death may come knocking, then you not be there.
How long since you walked hand in hand with someone you love,
Watched the flying geese form vee’s in a vivid blue sky up above?
Put off doing something because you are much too busy today,
Then the opportunity you had may never again come your way.
Live life to the full, make each mundane task a fun thing to do,
Look at this world of ours and time as being a friend to you,
Not an ogre with whom you have to fight and wearily overcome,
Enjoy life, we all want to be good and happy when each day is done.
