ROADSIDE VULTURES
In the very bad weather, at the roadside I see
Tow trucks there ready and waiting patiently
For some cars to go off the icy road or crash,
Then the roadside vultures are there is a flash.
Their patience rewarded by a towing fee or two
There with big smiles on their faces to rescue you,
Snow was now falling after a shower of freezing rain,
Driving conditions were at that time quite a pain.
And do you know I found comfort every time I saw
A tow truck vulture waiting for accidents galore,
For in that kind of weather I did not want to be stuck,
Knowing if anything happened there would be a truck.
I drove home with no problems or accident at all,
Even if the snow over freezing rain did fall,
But if I had skid off the road, I would not have to wait
And freeze in the cold snow, soon Id be at my gate.
