A WORLD WITHOUT TRUTH
Can you imagine a world where truth does not reside,
We could not function, darkness all light would hide,
Confusion and misery would be scattered everywhere,
Living would be a great burden, one beyond compare.

But think, could there be life without truth and light?
For truth is knowledge, we would know nothing of right,
It takes understanding to live, eat, function and grow,
Without the truth and light in total ignorance we’d go.

No knowledge of foods that keep us all healthy and strong,
No direction to point us to what’s right or what’s wrong,
Nothing invented to help us live the best way we can,
No understanding at all of our Gods eternal great plan.

Yet we have this gift for all mankind to use every day,
And quite often we misuse that prize in some small way,
Just stop for a moment, the next time you go to lie,
Think of the horror of being without truth, and sigh.

A lie brings darkness where a shining light should be,
It is truth that will lead us along the path to set us free,
God cannot lie, for He is perfect in every single way,
Let us all make a vow now, to be truthful every day.
