CANCELLED BECAUSE OF BAD WEATHER
A phone call told us church was cancelled today,
Snow had fell through the night and still came our way,
What does one do on the Sabbath when there’s no church?
It feels all wrong, you think you are left in the lurch.

Read the scriptures, sing a hymn, read a good book,
Go and clear the snow, then go in and start to cook,
Write lots in your journal, a story or poem or two,
Before another Sabbath is all finished and through.

Yet we did not partake of the Sacrament, something we do
To help us grow spiritually and all our trials get through,
But we know the Lord understands on days like this,
But let us hope it will not be an excuse so we want to miss.

Now the snow has stopped, and much brighter the day,
But the weather man says there is more coming our way,
If things are cancelled tomorrow more folks will be glad,
But no more Sundays cancelled or I will be very sad.
