COMFORTER AND TEACHER
I heard a voice whisper so softly unto me,
A calming voice, a loving voice that set me free
From heart ache and worry, peace came to my soul,
Soothed and healed me and made me feel whole.
The comforter came to me like the balm of Gilead,
Shared all my burdens and the great pain that I had,
That comforting voice told me I was not alone,
Oh, the healing power that soft voice had shown.
The a soft voice of warning whispered so clear,
Telling me to be aware of a great danger near,
Listening to that prompting can take fear away,
For as you hear and obey all will be well day by day.
Preparing a lesson and that sweet voice is heard
As you try and teach Gods children His holy word.
Inspiration touches you deep within your heart,
And then His light and truth to all you can impart.
Then that voice that whispers letting you know
That Jesus is the Saviour, that He loves us so,
A testimony builder, comforter, teacher and friend,
The loving voice on whom you can always depend.
