SCATTERED SHOWERS
When we started our journey it was quite bright
But rain clouds soon began to stop the sun light,
Soon all the blue was gone, clouds hung low,
Rain came, its kind act of mercy to show.
In and out of showers as we drive along
Sometime its dry, sometimes wet, wind not strong
To blow away the clouds, rain is needed everywhere
To refresh the earth, lay the dust and clear the air.
At times we see a small patch of blue show
Among buffeting clouds so full and so low,
Look there is a rainbow sparkling through rain
A double arch of great beauty easing our pain.
Now the road is dry, the rain still yet to fall,
But see how heavy the clouds hang over all
Fields and trees just waiting for it to come down
Changing the farmers face to a smile from a frown.
