RUSHING
No one else looked up to see the rainbow in the sky,
Or the silver lining at the edge of the clouds up high,
No one saw the hawk glide on wings of silent grace,
Or the little mouse run across the grass at a great pace.
All seemed much to busy to even glance up or down,
All rushing purposely some of them wearing a frown,
Some well dressed business folks, others on holiday,
Not one of them willing to glace at all natures way.
All walking people yet they did not seem to live,
Like walking robots with no desire to ever give
A thought to the simple beauty of this earth,
Things to me that are of great eternal worth.
I stopped a man, asked if hed seen the rainbow in the sky,
And the silver lining around the dark cloud sailing up high?
He stopped and looked and he smile gratefully at me,
Soon others looked upward then happier faces did I see.
