SINGING IN THE CHOIR
A group of happy people who all love to sing,
Gathering together so to others one day joy bring,
Stretching their vocal chords high notes to reach,
As two wonderful musicians new songs do teach.

We are going to do Titanic, some parts are very high,
All the first soprano’s have to reach up to the sky,
So do the tenor’s, some falsetto notes we hear,
But when all together the sweet harmony is so clear.

Bass notes are quite low, alto’s have a wide range,
The music is hard, but no one wants to change,
On some of the very high notes some of us fake,
Open our mouths wide, but no high C sound do make.

It’s fun as we learn each new part, fit them altogether,
And I think we might sing well in the warmer weather.
It’s nice to meet new people and learn new music too,
And what a wonderful thing on Saturday morning to do.
