        MY BROWN SUGAR MOUSE
A useful little fellow bought a few years ago,
Not much to look at, but works hard you know,
He needs very little care this little brown mouse,
Every family should have one at least in the house.

All he needs every now and then is a short soak,
Resting in a cup of warm water, that’s not a joke,
Then gently pat him dry and back to work he goes,
Always very diligent as my soft brown sugar shows.

His job is to stop my brown sugar from going lumpy,
Even when our big cat is around he is never jumpy,
Quiet as can be he works morning noon and night,
Never scared anyone for he is always out of sight.

There are other shapes to use for your brown sugar jar,
But I prefer my little brown mouse than others by far,
I soaked him and dried him today put him back to work,
I wonder how he keeps sugar soft, why he never does shirk.
