THE JOY OF EASTER
We shout our loud hosannas, alleluias gladly sing,
For the joy of Easter and the message it does bring.
But do we ever stop to think , if Easter had not come,
What would happen to each spirit when this earth was done?
With no resurrection each body would stay dead in the grave,
But let us sing praises to Christ who to us resurrection gave,
He overcame the bonds of death, a chance of glory to win,
He was the one who suffered, died, arose, to save us from our sin.
He gave hope to all men, freed us from deaths cruel pain,
Freed us from the stains of sin, so heaven hope to gain.
Can you imagine the heartache, the sorrow if we had to live
Without knowing about Easter and the great gift that he did give?
For Jesus our Redeemer is the first-fruits of all those to be risen.
Bringing us the joy of knowing we may reach the highest heaven.
So let all nature shout hosanna in true praise on this Easter day,
For Christ the Lord is risen, so reverently we should pray.
So let each heart their own sweet song of praises sing
To Jesus Christ, the anointed one, our eternal King.
Alleluias raise the rafters of the skys limitless domain,
For we know because of Easter, heaven we may gain.
Everyone will have their body and spirit back as one,
No one will be forgotten, whatever they have done,
So with this gift let us all our lives strive that we may be,
Worthy of the Easter gift and live with Him through eternity.
