IN GOD’S HANDS
When we find out that we have an illness that will kill,
Or someone we love dearly and with bitterness we fill,
We think we have tried so hard to follow the right path,
And we are being rewarded by a painful early death.
Should good people never suffer? Only wicked men have pain?
Illness and death my dear friend, is as natural as spring rain.
It comes to all who live, no one has never suffered ,all pass away,
It is up to the Lord what happens, when comes that special day
When we are called home, free then from pain and heartache,
And though we will miss them as a now lonely path we take,
If we understand they will rest in peace, and we will live
Knowing that God is the one who takes and does give.
Acceptance is the key to have happy many years together,
If not in this life, then knowing we will be together forever.
