IMPART UNTO YOU MY SPIRIT
The Lord wants for us the very best of things,
So that every honest heart with pure joy sings,
We’ll have an enlightened and a seeking mind,
So the truths of all eternity we may someday find.

When we receive His spirit something happens inside,
His gifts come pouring down, His love He cannot hide,
Gifts of the spirit are many and prepare us for above,
As we develop daily and increase in knowledge and love.

The gifts we seek in righteousness, will be granted unto us,
The gift to teach well, the gift to discern, the gift to discuss
The gospel with our fellow men, the gifts of hope and charity,
All given to us when we ask in faith, and true humility.

So Lord, may I thank thee for the gifts imparted to me,
Gifts of the spirit that I treasure and will for eternity,
And pray that I may always seek with a pure, tender heart,
The gifts that will enable me the truth to others impart.
