VALIANT IN THE CAUSE
Am I valiant in the cause of Jesus Christ my Lord?
Will I follow in His footsteps listen to every word?
Will I never, not ever forsake to any of His foes?
Will I always stay true to the wise path I have chose?
This will take courage and a heart that is strong and true,
But I will strive to be like a Daniel all my life through,
Be like a Stephen and for my faith be willing to die,
Willing to languish long in prison, not seeing the sky.
Yes! I would say to these brave things I will willingly do,
Then said a voice, instead, live the gospel every day through,
Set a good example, go and preach His words both far and wide,
The talents He gave you do not put away and always hide.
Use them to spread the light of Christ in this world of ours,
Shout aloud of Gods great love and of His mighty powers,
Go forward and proclaim the gospel to your fellow men
Just like Daniel did who was thrust into that lions den.
If you wish to be truly valiant, totally trust in the Lord,
Never doubt of Gods power when you follow His word,
Put your trust in the Lord who you wish to daily serve,
And valiant actions will gain you what you deserve.
We should have no fear, never faint along the troubled way
Never be ashamed of what we have done at the end of the day,
If we are valiant, and treading along the rightly chosen path,
And if faithful we will receive all that our Dear Father hath.
