GIFTS THAT COST NOTHING
Please dear Lord give me a cheerful heart,
Even when things go wrong and fall apart,
A cheerful countenance that will show
Just how much I know you love me so.

Lord may I have the Holy Ghost with me
Everyday, to guide on the path to eternity,
That I may hear the prompting every day
And be worthy of they presence one day.

May I gain humility, change my proud heart,
Always willingly give, not in a small part,
But with my whole being, be thy servant willing,
Constantly every moment want to be serving.

But Lord, mostly give me charity thy pure love,
So I will be always kind, ready for heaven above.
Mould me in Thy tender hands until I’m like thee,
Full of loving kindness, full of Thy sweet charity.
