JOYOUS WORDS
Do you recall the words the angel said
that very first Easter Day?
“He is risen,” and “why seek ye the living
among the dead” he did say.
Mary had already see Him early, and they
ran fast to find out,
Yes! He had overcome death how their
sad hearts did want to shout,
Can you imagine the joy that came to them
after His death so cruel?
He had fought the fight and won, now all
were free, one day He will rule
On this earth, death is conquered the grave
can never win the victory.
We are partakers of His sinless sacrifice
be with Him for eternity.
Now each of us should shout for joy
with one loud accord,
Shout praises and give thanks forever
to our beloved risen Lord.
He is risen, raise each voice in joyous
songs of pure love
To a loving Father and His beloved son
for the joy of heaven above.
Easter, dear wonderful Easter, the risen
sacrificial Lamb divine,
Suffered, was mocked and died to save
all repentant souls, even mine.
