I WILL WALK AMONG YOU
Levicitus 26:12
What a wonderful gift God offered to all His children,
Telling He was there God and would be among them,
It shows His love for His people, wants to be right there,
Can you imagine the joy knowing He could be anywhere?

Working by you as you earn your money every single day,
Making sure all is well as you have to travel on your way,
Sit beside you as you study scriptures to know Him better,
Smile, looking over your shoulder as you write a letter.

Can we feel Him close by us as in prayer we do kneel?
Feel His arms around us, know of His strength to heal,
Are we really His people? If we are He will surly come
And stay close beside us every day until life is done.

Do I always act like a true child of a loving God above?
Are we worthy of His great everlasting, encircling love,
Would we hide a book or turn off a film or some show
If we thought He into our home would want to go?

He may have come, walked along the road with you,
Watched you break a covenant, or in a temper flew,
Told a cruel lie that could cause someone pain,
Maybe without thinking took His name in vain.

“Ye shall be my people,” would He know my name?
Would He want to walk with me, or do I in shame
Bow my head for I sent Him away by deed or word
He was there, yet His voice by me was not heard.

I know Thou wilt walk with us, scripture tells us so,
Be close by when we choose right everywhere we go.
Please walk close by my side as I strive to live well
And I will know thee, be worthy with thee to dwell.
