WHERE DOES IT COME FROM
Where does it come from? The goodness in each heart,
Who plants seeds of kindness so we want to do our part?
Where do thoughts come from saying, lend a helping hand?
Surely it is the light of Christ that helps us all understand,
All good things, we know, come from God in heaven above
He feeds into each human heart thoughts of warmth and love,
So if a kind thought come please don’t shoo it far away,
But develop it so the light within will shine bright every day.
Why do we want to cry when we see someone hurt or in pain?
What touches our hearts as we want them to feel joy again?
No evil influence could make those kind of feelings grow,
It comes down from Deity and into each person sweetly flow.
Every act of kindness, or sweet word and every warm smile
That might help someone fell better, even for a little while
Is the light of Christ within us wanting to try and shine bright,
Develop it, tend it, and with all others share that spark of light.
