FULL POTENTIAL
If we really knew our full potential
would we want to sin?
If we visioned principalities and powers
would we let Satan in?
If the glories of eternity were shown to us
would we go astray?
If we could see thrones, our exaltations
would we, evil words say?
Now stop and think, what we do know,
so what excuse is ours?
The scriptures and the prophets tell us,
So what of God’s powers?
Do we think they are not for us these gifts
So why should I ever try?
If dear friends we even think these thoughts
So then will God lie?
We are kings and queens working hard each day
for a heavenly throne,
God’s in embryo striving, learning, growing
to reach our celestial home,
The children of the ruler of universes untold,
our loving Father above.
We are His and He is ours for evermore,
take it with love.
Jesus is the pathway to the gift of eternal life,
do not throw it away,
Stretch hard and take the prize and grow,
do not in sin stay,
The most wonderful treasure offered to all
is ours for the taking.
When we throw it away or ignore this gift
think of God’s heart breaking.
