FAREWELL GENTLE GIANT
Farewell Gentle Giant, we will all miss you so,
As onward to serve others you now bravely go,
Many hearts are saddened and many do grieve
As your smile and handshake we no longer receive.
A teacher, a friend, someone who showed Gods love
To all he met, a giant of a man yet soft as a turtle dove,
Eyes ever dancing as the gospel to others he spread,
Now hes teaching old and new friends who we call dead.
We should rejoice that we knew such a giant of a man
Who carried out willingly our Heavenly Fathers plan,
We could not help but all love you dearest old friend,
Thankful to know that death is not ever lifes end.
We should rejoice at your parting, wipe tears away,
For your suffering is ended and in paradise now stay
Meeting loved ones long departed, still serving the Lord,
Spreading the gospel and still being a teacher of His word.
Farewell Gentle Giant, until we all meet again
As we that are left still strive for heaven to gain,
The path that you trod here on earth was the way
To heaven, so farewell until we meet there one day.
