DOING A GOOD DEED.

Do not miss the chance to do a good deed,
For that opportunity will never come again.
Do not miss the chance to lend a helping hand,
For a time that’s right for us, may be in vain.

If we wait until the time is right we’ll miss out,
If we feel it’s not for us, who’ll do the task?
Procrastination is a real enemy of God,
Do not wait for invitations, they may not ask.

Put out a hand in kindness and in love,
Do just what the dear Saviour would do,
Do it surreptitiously, that’s the best way
It will lift your heart with joy the day through.

Come, just follow the Lord’s footsteps,
Step safely back to heaven along the chosen path,
And you will gain a priceless crown of glory
And all that our beloved Father hath.
