PROMPTINGS
The other day while cleaning a voice came to me,
Stop and call up Sally, it was as clear as it could be.
I wanted to do it later but the voice came again,
I called my friend, she needed me, she was in pain.

Driving along the highway, I heard the voice say
Leave this road and go home a different way.
I took the next exit not knowing why or where to go,
Then I saw cars crashing as thick oil did flow.

One night I tossed and turned, I could not rest,
Get up and go to the end of the street, what a test.
But I always followed the promptings so I went out,
There at the end of the street, my friend gave a shout.

I knew you would come, I called you, my car broke down
On the way to the hospital she said with a frown,
John has had a heart attack he is dying can you see,
We carried him into my car, drove there as fast as could be.

Always obey the promptings however odd they may seem,
It may save your life or others, it could come in a dream.
Or by a still small voice that cannot be turned away,
So listen all the time for that promptings both night and day.
