THE REAPER AND THE SOWER
The Reaper reaps the harvest that months ago was sown,
Of the Sowers work, to the Reaper little is known,
He thrusts in his sickle with all his strength and might,
Working hard to harvest all, before the coming night.
But in our lives it is different, we reap what we sow,
As through this life on earth we steadfastly go,
We may not stop and realize the things we do and say,
But we will reap the reward, come judgement day.
We may just give a little smile and lighten a sad heart,
We may keep choosing the good, doing our small part,
We may say a kindly word, the timing just right
To let a ray of sunshine in someones dark, cold night.
Then when our times comes to reap what we have sown,
We may be quite surprised at the good we have shown
By simple little actions and some kindly unknown deed
And so clearing away sorrow and meeting a persons need.
