WORDS OF LOVE

Come inspiration, touch my tired heart and mind,
Help me words of love and appreciation find,
Words that show him just how much I really care,
Words to tell him again, that I will always be there.

For it is almost Valentines day, when we share
The deepest feelings in our hearts true and fair,
A deep red rose may be given to show true love,
Or a sculpting of a graceful white turtle dove.

A dinner spread with all good food to delight,
Romantic music playing softly in the night,
But oh, to find a way to say the joy he gives
To me, no known worldly passage yet lives.

Take the deep red rose, and the turtle dove,
Eat a meal, listen to music filled with love,
Then pluck hidden words from my loving heart
And maybe the greeting will be true, in part.

But when I reach heaven and he is by my side,
I will write such poetry that now I somehow hide,
Come and listen as my earthly bands are freed
And then what true love poems you will heed.
