EXPRESSIONS OF LOVE

I have looked through the cards in the stores to find
Words that express what is in my heart and my mind,
But nothing is there with sayings that express my love
For the man who is mine both on earth and above.

For my love is as deep as the earth’s mighty seas,
As gentle as the kiss of a warm summer breeze,
As true as the north star that shine bright in the sky,
As warm as the sun when rain clouds have rolled by.

A love that has grown over many years of togetherness,
A love developed with care and a sweet kind gentleness,
A peaceful love that helps us form ourselves into one,
As long as we are together, we don’t mind what will come.

For my love is stronger than the old mighty oak tree,
That stands hundreds of years tall whatever may be,
As lasting as heaven and being together for eternity,
Together forever with you is where I dream to be.

My love has no strings attached, I’ll love you any way,
But I thank my God above that you are loving me everyday,
Somewhere, back in time, I must have done something right
To have a love like this, our love’s pathway shining bright.
