TOGETHER AGAIN
She sat beneath the willow tree in contemplative deep thought,
Absent mindedly running her fingers through her long hair,
The wind blew gently and a welcome cooling breeze brought,
The summer sun had awakened early the delicate flowers fair.
The lake and sky melded into one so no horizon could be seen,
Each joyous songbird seemed to mock at her aching heart,
She felt she did not belong in such a peaceful tranquil scene,
Yet, slowly, nature stretched out and so healed her in part.
She lifted her head and tossed her long black hair back,
Gazing almost unseeingly at the lovely things all around,
She sighed, and wondered if true love she would always lack,
If her heart would ever mend again when she heard a sound.
I knew you would come here she heard that voice say,
He sat down beside her and looked deep into her sad eyes,
Im sorry, can you forgive me for leaving you in that way
When you left I felt that my whole being was going to die
They looked, held hands, and true love overcame all pain,
They walked away hand in hand, filled with joy and love.
Look, the flowers are brighter, listen, birds singing again.
Love again is united and God and the angels sing up above.
