SO I THINK I’LL STAY MARRIED.
In a few day time, it will be forty five years together,
Married in love, struck together in all kinds of weather,
There would be no other I would ever want by my side,
No one else to be with me for now and forever abide.

I look at folks who are single, yet they are quite happy enough,
But they have missed out on children and all that good stuff,
Missed the companionship of true happily married bliss,
So I think I’ll stay married forever to be happy like this.

I am blest with a partner who shows love and great care,
Someone who is ever faithful and will always be there,
One who sees my faults but loves me just the same,
Who is full of mischief, we play many a secret game.

We have kept our sweet love alive, with deep caring,
By loving each other and joys and sorrows sharing,
There as partners who sometimes have to pull a heavy load,
Working together as a team along life’s bumpy hard road.
