I now have a ruby ring on my finger all shining and bright,
One that tells a message of joy and laughter through my life.
Each sparkling gem reflects a love that we always will share.
A love as strong as diamonds and rubies, one thats just as fair,
A love that warms me to the soul, and then, as I tenderly gaze
At the rubies on my hand I will always want to praise
A loving God in heaven who guided our paths to cross.
Oh if we had never met, oh what a terrible great loss,
For we would not have our children, or their children too.
We would not have bright ruby rings shining bright and true.
We would not have each other, and life I could not see
Without you beside me, for you really set me free.
You guide me through this life we tread with love and care.
You bring out all my good, and talents I didnt know were there.
So as I see you look at your ruby ring and I look at mine as well,
We will share our love for ever, it will last longer than the gems.
