I never thought when I was small that I would live to see
That stumbling child, happy and married for eternity.
I never thought that some one could care for a child like me
For I was always the ugly duckling, pretty I would never be.
No one would gaze into my eyes, no one would say theyd care,
No one would ask the magic words, no one to answer my prayer.
Till one day the most handsome boy I ever saw came into my life,
I went in and told my grandma and told her I would be his loving wife,
If you have a dream my dear do not let it pass you by said she
But bide you your time and learn to love and one day you will see
That sweet dream come true. Those words echoed through my heart
And never went away, till he asked me out and then I did my part
By loving him with all my might, We have loved now for may a year
That handsome boy and I . And our love has grown even more dear.
For we have our goals in common, we share the same sweet dreams,
We do things together, love natures with its birds, flowers and streams.
We want so much always to be close together every live long day,
We share our love with our dear children and hope they feel the same way
About the ones they love, for they have seen our love through all times
We have had, we have had sunshine and showers, lived in other climes,
There is nothing we would not do for our spouse so dear and so true,
Our precious love grows ever deeper and such more meaningful too
As we come to the time when this earthly journey is almost through
And those latter days we long to share every hour together just us two
Till we are called home to heaven together would be really great,
But Oh the sorrow of being left alone and having to just wait.
