A new life will soon be before us as the years together grow,
One like the one we started, so many years ago,
As each child so precious leaves our tender care,
We'll have more time together, more joys to share.
Then another joy may follow, to fill our hearts with pride,
When our children lay in our arms their special little child,
Then our lives and hearts will surely overflow with joy,
As one by one a gift is given, first a girl and then a boy.
As the years pass further onward other scenes come into mind,
Hand in hand I see us serving the Lord and Saviour of mankind,
So let us love each other deeply and carry on to the end,
For I know I'll want you always as my husband, king and friend.
