Stamps of Lebanon

1924 Some Mandate First Stamps Issues

After being military occupied for more than 4 years, a French Mandate was declared on Lebanon and Syria on 1924. French Stamps were overprinted Syrie Grand Liban that were used in both known countries. After some months, each country has its own overprint.
The currency conversion was the following: 1FF = 5Piastres. Also 100 Centiemes= 1Piastre. For the highest value, we have 5FF = 25Piastres.
Down you have 3 nice blocks of 4 stamps of France overprinted, they represent Pasteur, a well known french scientist. These blocks have been used in Beirut, the circular date stamp is visible specially on the red stamp.
