REAL TIME CLASSES AT EFI

Hi! I am Begum Ibrahim and I am a member of the EFI team of teachers who will be teaching at a Real time class.
I am currently available on weekdays between 2pm to 3pm GMT [GMT= London Time minus 1 hour]. That would be 10pm to 11pm Malaysian Time.
A Java browser is required. Launch your browser (Netscape 4 and above or MSIE4+) and go to this URL

Virtual Schoolhouse EFI: The Vsefi is an environment for learning English LIVE on the internet. Students meet with their teacher for realtime coaching, generally at The Palace. Get a schedule of Vsefi classes at http://www.study.com/schedule.html. For now, I will meet students at the Palace only by appointments made via ICQ.

Instructions for getting to the VSEFI at the Palace:

There are two ways to get there -- one requires downloading a 'client' (a program that is installed in your computer); the other requires a 'java-capable' browser (Netscape 4 and IE3+ are )

1. The Recommended way:

• Open your browser
• Go to http://www.thepalace.com
• Download their client software
• Locate it and install it on your computer
• Open it
• Click on File/Connect to a Palace
• Join the Virtual School House
• Type in efi.virtualscholar.com and port 9998

If this is still not clear, go to the Getting to Palace tutorial and follow the steps outlined

2. An Alternative way:

• Open your browser
• Go to http://204.157.148.12/instant2/chat.html

• You should download and install the software above.
• When you've installed both the Palace and ICQ send me a message (on ICQ)to 5425018.
• You can add me and the other students to your ICQ online pals list.
  (To do this, click on Add Users in the ICQ window, and follow instructions).
