Patch
BY TINA LARSON

Timid and shy
is what you are.
You're nothing like
your brother Scar.

When company calls he
rushes to say hello.
You hide in your corner,
waiting for them to go.

When you want love,
I'm the person for you.
He's not picky,
even the dog will do.

He braves the outdoors
you stay inside.
Watching the strangers
as they walk by.

You'd live in my lap,
if you had your way.
He's independent,
just can't sit and stay.

Siblings you two are
it's a fact that's true.
But we'd never know
it, looking at you.
