virtues Implementing Sister's outline- After the initial discussion about the virtue, frequently discuss it with the children throughout the week, commenting when they practice it and encouraging them when they don't. Younger children often benefit from a sticker/comment chart showing their progress. At the end of the week children who have practiced the virtue may be given a certificate (perhaps made using a word processor) by both parents. Those who did an exception job would receive a certicate on colored paper stating:"This certifies that _____________ was outstanding in practicing the virtue of being gentle in imitation of Jesus Christ." or on white paper: "This certifies that ______________ practiced the virtue of being gentle in imitation of Jesus Christ." Some virtues will need to be focused on for longer then one week. Older children often benefit from gentle reminders during the day and an examine at noon and in the evening. If they are so inclined they may write their examine in a note book.
