Meet the Pastor:
Rev. James Sonnemann
Rev. Sonnemann has served Salem since his graduation and ordination from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1990. Before studying for the ministry, Rev. Sonnemann served as a school teacher for 16 years in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Born and raised in Milkwaukee, WI, Rev. Sonnemann was born in the delivery room at St. Mary's hospital, just two blocks from Salem. Today, that unit is now the hospice unit, prompting Rev. Sonnemann to quip: "I could die in the same room I was born in."
Rev. Sonnemann loves to ride his bicycle for exercise. Since we couldn't photograph him in action, the gif below should give you an idea of Rev. Sonnemann's hobby.
