Each year in April, on the Saturday closest to ANZAC Day, at 11:00am, a special Lodge meeting is held at Dallas Brooks Hall. This custom was started by the Army Lodge to enable those members who no longer are able to go out at night and attend Lodge. Each year we make special arrangements to enable as many brethren to attend as possible. The Grand Master is invited each year and is usually represented by a PGM who has served in the military.
Hosting of the event is now shared in the following rotation:
2007 The Army Lodge (478)
2008 The Victorian Naval and Military Lodge (49)
2009 United Service Lodge (330)
2010 The Army Lodge (478)
and so on . . .
All Brethren are welcome, provided they contribute $40 (2008 cost) for the South. No charge if not attending South, but please advise the Tyler in that case. For information email or send form with payment to:
