Judy and Harry dedicated themselves to the Missouri schools they
worked for, and the kids and parents of those districts. We know that
many of those students, and their children, are out there surfing the
NET and looking for ties. We would like to hear from you or your
family.
Harry retired in 1986 after 35 years of service to all of the
schools listed below. He graduated from Laura Speed Elliott High
School at Boonville, MO in the Spring of 1945. From there he went to
Kirksville State Teachers College, Kirksville, MO, and left from
there for the service. He returned from the navy submarine service
with the GI Bill and back in school for the Master of Arts degree.
With a Superintendent's certificate in hand, and a shortage of men in
schools, he headed out into a field that needed administrators.
Judy is still teaching and plans to retire soon. She will have 25
years in the school busiesss. Her years have been cut short due to
the fact that she was a home "mom" and raised our joint family of
six. Judy was Judy(Lillard) Steinbeck of Canton, MO. She attended
public school there, as well as Culver-Stockton College. Her first
years of teaching were at Canton R-V and later began began at
Lafayette Co. C-I.
