I am a Grand Master of my longbow

I began learning to use a bow under the instruction of my father, a hunter. He started teaching me to use the shortbow at first, but I decided I preferred the feel of the larger weapon. (Eat your heart out Freud.) I didn't pay much attention at that turn, because I was dabbling in mind magic too. I started focusing more on my skill when we fled to Arborea to escape attacks from the githyanki. I liked Arborea, so I kept racing off and once I met up with a most enthusiastic pair of creatures. I hadn't seen them before, so I decided they were elf-mages with some sort of whirlwind spell. They darted up, and asked me questions while circling around me. They weren't even psionic, so I didn't say anything, but they didn't really pay much attention. I decided to circle around them instead (I didn't have anything better to do), and one of them suddenly picked me up and danced off a distance. I was surprised he was that strong, because I was taller than him. His eyes kept chaning coors, and as they changed again, he just as suddenly returned to whirlwind form, knocking me away several feet, and left. That was my first encounter with bralani. My parents answered some of my questions about them, but not everything. So, when my mother found a client who wanted her skills in Pelion, I took my chance to find out more. With her help, over the next few weeks, I got into the minds of more bralani. You would not believe the rushes of emotions that those people feel! It was addictive. They also had something else in there that interested me. In their minds they had an incredible feel for archery and the wind. I don't think it could ever be put into words- particularly not by them. I tried to concentrate on those sensations and imprint them onto my mind. I liked most of the eladrin. They all loved freedom and they didn't try to hurt anyone without warrant. I wanted freedom more than anything else at that time, so I was happy to try to learn the tools they used to protect theirs. So, I began learning to use the longbow more effectively.
