Your instructor will ask to see it at the beginning of class Wednesday. 2. Make sure you read Chapter Two of Rich by the beginning of class Monday, May 21. We will have a practice for Lab 3. 3. Media Jobs and Internship Web sites. See Links on this site. 6. (a) Types of cover letters. (b) What goes in a cover letter? See form in Rich textbook. Also, this is a formal business letter. Keep it simple. Be direct. Sell your strengths. Make sure your cover letter is written to a real business and a real personnel director. Bring this person's address to class. 7. Remember that after your instructor returns these, you should correct both the cover letter and resume and send both to the media company you have chosen. The Greenlee School requires an intership. Every bit of experience you can get will help your career. 8. Keep reading the newspapers every day for approximately 30 minutes. |
