I, Claudius, Draw

Due to the growing popularity of my cartoon graphics, I have revamped and expanded this area of my original designs. I call it "The Scrapbook"

I have reformatted all the images as GIFs and have resized them wherever possible to 100x100 for overall consistency and quicker loading.

How Does I_Claudius Do It?

That's something people never ask me: How do you do it? How do you make your drawings? Probably no one gives a rat's butt how I do my drawings. But I'll tell you anyway. For posterity.

The tools I use for cartoons are the suite of programs by CorelDraw: CorelDraw, Photopaint and Corel Dream 3D. These programs can make even a color blind no-talent like me look good. The tools are as easy to use as a beginner might need and as powerful as a pro requires. Also, Corel has a great website at www.corelmag.com that supports their magazine, but also provides many free articles as well as good advice and tips to the casual visitor.

All of these techniques have their advantages. For example, when I'm traveling I can make a lot of pencil drawings on a sketch pad for later scanning, so I don't have to be around my computer to create. On the other hand, It's great to be able to change the color of one region of a drawing by clicking a button or change the shape of a line without having to erase a lot (and believe me: I erase a lot).

So please use these cartoons to add a little bit of body language to your site. If you need something specific, don't hesitate to ask me. Send Email to cartoonist@i-claudius.com. I hope you have as much fun using them as I've had drawing them.
