Hi, my name is Mavis, this is my story of how God
saved me. I believe He saved me in two stages and those
stages I will tell you about briefly.
Stage one: I was a stupid teenager and had to do
everything my friends were doing and when my friends
began to take drugs so did I. It was the thing to do and I
didn't want to not be cool. One night we were being cool
and that was the night God saved me from drug by using
a person to get through to me how dangerous they were,
in short, that night God sent me my husband. Even
though he was not a Christian, God used him to help me
get clean, stay clean, and choose good friends.
Stage two: We married and had each other, but we were
still searching and at the time neither of us knew what we
were searching for, looking back we know we were
searching for peace. Six months after the birth of our
first son, we began attending a few churches in the area
and during our visits we found people who had what we
were searching for, these people had PEACE! They had
the peace from knowing the love of God, from the
acceptance of Christ, from the promises of God, and I
wanted what they had. We began Bible study with a
couple that had lived their whole lives with the love of
God and they showed it, you could see the love in their
faces and could feel it from their hearts. My husband was
the first to turn his life over to Christ, then a few days
later, I also did. Now I know His peace, I praise God for
salvation and love. Sometimes, I still have a rough day,
when things just don't go right, but I know God is
watching and helping, I know Christ holds my hand and
alot of time carries me through the tough times. God is so
good to me. I pray you will find what you are searching

What am I doing now? Well, I am a wife, and mom of three boys, which God has impressed on our hearts to homeschool them. We spend our days learning, playing, and loving together.
