The Door bell rang ... who could that be, there's always
someone at the door around dinner time! It happened to be two
guys in suit and tie ~ so I told Ken, "you go get it, I'm
cooking!" These gentlemen sure spent a long time with
my husband on the doorstep. Then they wanted to
speak with me ... reluctantly I agreed, thinking ... I'll be
casual and polite, and soon they'll be gone. What they
had to share with me was amazing (after I tossed aside
that attitude I started out with)! All these things they
told me ... I knew this stuff ... but that day it really hit
me like a ton of bricks! Now I fully realized what my
friend Lani had been trying to tell me all these years! I
was a sinner. Jesus Christ died for me and shed His
precious Blood to pay for all my sins! I confessed my
sins, and asked the Lord to come into my heart that
day. I came to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as my
Saviour 5 years ago on August 27, 1992. Now these
two gentlemen wanted to speak to my children . Were the
children ready for this ... I wondered. Then I thought, well, if
I'm going to Heaven when I die, I certainly want my children
there with me too some day! So, I said "Sure". We
ALL accepted Jesus Christ as our Saviour that Thursday
evening on the front doorstep, all because someone
cared enough to knock on my door and share the
Gospel with my family and I. I was scriptually Baptized
one month later, the same day as my husband and daughter.

Isn't it amazing what the Lord can do for us? Now I have
a new vocabulary. Instead of "Way to GO!" I
say "Praise the LORD!", Instead of "cross your fingers", I
say "Pray for me" and instead of "YES! I did it!", I say,
"Praise the LORD, THANK YOU!". And you know what
else, I DO NOT smoke cigarettes anymore. And I have
a NEW book in the house, called the HOLY BIBLE.

Now we serve the Lord where ever He leads us. I have taught a Sunday School class, where the children learn that they are sinners too, just like me. My husband teaches Jr Church, where he teaches the children to have a burden for others.
